Fascia & Soffit Repair
Rotted fascia, damaged soffit, and the pest and water problems they create — repaired at the source, not just painted over.
The trim that quietly protects your roofline
Fascia and soffit sit right at the edge of your roofline — fascia is the vertical trim your gutters mount to, and soffit is the underside paneling that also houses your roof's intake ventilation. When either one deteriorates, it's rarely just cosmetic: rotted fascia can pull gutters loose, and damaged soffit is a common entry point for wasps, squirrels, and moisture into the attic.
We repair and replace fascia and soffit as its own scope of work, and also as part of a broader gutter or roof project when the two are already tied together. Material matching, proper venting where soffit doubles as attic intake, and correct fastening for gutter support are the details that separate a repair that lasts from one that fails again in a season or two.
Why fascia and soffit condition matters
- Rotted fascia often means your gutters aren't actually secured the way they appear to be
- Damaged soffit is one of the most common pest and moisture entry points into an attic
- We match material and vent pattern so repairs blend with the existing roofline
- Often paired efficiently with gutter work already scheduled
Fascia & soffit repair, done properly.
Inspection
We check fascia and soffit condition along the full roofline, not just the visibly damaged section.
Root cause check
Rot is often a symptom of a gutter or flashing issue upstream — we identify and address the actual cause.
Material removal
Damaged sections are removed back to solid material, not just patched over rot.
Replacement & venting
New fascia and vented soffit installed and matched to the existing profile.
Gutter reattachment
Where applicable, gutters are properly reattached to sound, repaired fascia.
What causes fascia and soffit damage in North Indy
The most common cause we find is a gutter that has been overflowing or pulling away from the fascia for an extended period, allowing water to sit against the wood trim repeatedly until it rots. Ice dams in winter contribute as well, backing water up under the roof edge and into the fascia and soffit area specifically.
Because fascia rot is often a downstream symptom of a gutter problem, we check the gutter system as part of any fascia repair — replacing fascia without addressing the gutter issue that caused it just resets the clock on the same failure.
